Synergy between culture and industry: Gesteco reconfirms support to the XXXIII edition of the Mittelfest

We are very excited to be able to support Mittelfest for the fourth year in a row as main sponsor: an event that promotes the building of cultural bridges and international relationships, Friuli-Venezia Giulia being right in-between. 

All the players involved in the event were present at the press conference on May 29^th, including organizers, collaborators and sponsoring companies. Alex Luci took part on behalf of Gesteco.

The many performance that will constitute this edition were presented. Aiming at the general public were presented, they include many forms of artistic expression such as music, circus, theater and dance and involve the participation of artists from 27 European countries. A reflection on topics related to human nature, conflicts and our capacity for resilience.

Mittelfest artistic director, Giacomo Pedini, presented the central theme of the program during the press conference. This year, the theme is "Disordini" which after "Imprevisti" (2022) and "Inevitabile" (2023) ends the Chaos Trilogy, meant to reflect on how to face chaos and find new directions.

The event is divided into two main macro-events:

Mittelyoung (16^th to 18^th July)

This event, in its fourth edition, precedes the main festival and highlights a new generation of Central Europe. Nine performances will be presented, raging from prose, dance, music and circus Central Europe. They were selected through a tender that received 250 applications of artists under 30 years of age, from all over Europe. This year, it was decided to have an award attributed by a jury of experts.

Mittelfest: major festival (from 19^th to 28^th July)

The festival will offer a total of 29 artistic projects, including 15 absolute or national premieres and 7 co-productions. The activities will also continue throughout the year under the name Mittelland.

This event embodies sharing as a value and involves various actors who have collaborated for years to work together, in order to promote values ​​of inclusion, internationalization and best possible quality. The president of the Mittelfest Association, Cristina Mattiussi, expressed gratitude to the large "family" that has been supporting the event over time, underlining that its member are not just plain "stakeholders".

At the end of the dedicated press conference, the greetings of the Cividale mayor, Daniela Bernardi, were very heartfelt, as she wished everyone a "Happy Mittelfest, with disorder that will bring order".
